In July of 2017, I had a vision. In the vision, my late mother, who walked with the Lord for fifty years, was warning me not to take the call of the Lord on life lightly nor take for granted the path she laid down for me. Through her years of dedication and devotions to the things of God, she said to me in the dream that I must use the abilities the Lord has given me to influence and bring sinners to Jesus. In the dream, I could remember saying to my mother, "I don't know what it is the Lord wants me to do for him and his kingdom," and she pointed straight ahead and said, "There is Jesus. Ask him what he wants you to do."
I could clearly hear the voice of the Lord said, "Write." He repeated saying, "Write." He said, "Don't worry about who is going to read or speak what you write. Just write what I speak to you." In the dream, there was a file cabinet with a stock of notepads, pens, and pencils; and as soon as he said to write, I started to gather up notepads, a pen, and pencil from the file cabinet.
A few months later, I came across this church online located in Times Square, New York, and as if the pastor was speaking to me, his topic was "Remember my chains," as if to say, "Remember what your mother did for you." He implored the church to finish the race the Lord started in them. Right then, the Holy Spirit said to me, "That is what I want you to do. Finish the race your mother started. Finish it. Cause the lost to find Christ. Cause those in darkness to see his light in you. Finish it."
So the content of this book is a collection of thoughts and revelations the Lord put upon my heart during my time of meditation. These are the ones he told me to write; others he gave me just for me to strengthen my relationship with him. I pray that as I obey his voice to write what he speaks to me, these thoughts and revelations will cause the hearts and souls of many to be convicted of their sins and cry out to Jesus for forgiveness.
