Excerpt from Norwegian Pictures: Drawn With Pen and Pencil, Containing Also a Glance at Sweden and the Gotha Canal, With a Map and One Hundred and Twenty-Seven Illustrations From Sketches and Photographs
The original plan was to call the book Scandinavian Pictures, and to include in it both Sweden and Denmark. This has not proved practicable within the limits to which every volume in the series is confined. Denmark has been omitted, and only the best-known and most beautiful parts of Sweden are described.
