Zoe Agunda, a senior in high school, grew up living a typical suburban lifestyle where all of her friends were white and her being black never seemed to matter. It wasn’t until an incident involving a black student being arrested caused rising tension amongst Zoe’s “friends,” who began voicing their stereotypical and racist views. With the help of a white male classmate, Dean, Zoe learns to stand up for herself and come into her own to erase the color lines.
