History reflects that my parents, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Mrs. Coretta Scott King, were living demonstrations that we should never judge people by the color of their skin, but rather, by the content of their character. I applaud Dr. Herschelle Adams for providing a resource that reiterates this truth and the importance of strengthening the bonds between schools, communities and families to foster principles taught and lived by my parents.

In schools, on school vehicles, on the Internet and through other electronic devices, bullying can inflict lifelong emotional and psychological damage. Even worse, it can escalate to homicide or suicide.
COLOR BIND is based on a true bullying incident. COLOR BIND offers to parents, teachers, administrators and others practical solutions to bullying and other interpersonal issues to better serve and protect our greatest resources-our children.
